May He protect us both (the teacher and the student), together, (by revealing knowledge).
May He protect us both (by bestowing the fruits of knowledge).
May we achieve strength together. May what we learn be inspiring.
Let us not look for faults in each other.
Om! Peace! Peace! Peace!

I will tell you about this knowledge called the "Narayana Principle with Three Aspects", knowing that maya (illusion) and everything that happens due to maya will completely disappear.

Oh!

1. Narayana desired to create men. By this thought the soul (prana) arose from him. The mind and all the limbs of the body, the sky, the air, the light, the water and the earth that all these created beings can bear, took their form. From Narayana Brahma was born. From Narayana Rudra was born. From Narayana Indra was born. From Narayana were born those men who rule these men. From Narayana were born the twelve suns, the eleven Rudras, the eight Vasus and all these meters (measures of writing). They all function by Narayana. They all end in Narayana. So the Upanishads of the Rigveda believe.

[Note: The twelve Adityas (sons of Aditi) are Datha, Mitra, Aaryama, Rudra, Varuna, Surya, Bhaga, Vivasvan, Pusha, Savita, Twashta and Vishnu.

The eleven Rudras are Manyu, Manu, Mahinasan, Mahan, Sivan, Ruthudhvajan, Ugra Rethas, Bhavan, Kaman, Vamadevan and Druthavrutan.

The eight Vasus, children of Vasu, daughter of Daksha, are Dharan, Dhruvan, Soman, Ahas (Ahash, ahaŚ in Sanskrit), Anilan, Analan Pratyushan and Prabhashan.]

2. He is eternal. Narayana is Brahma. Narayana is Shiva. Narayana is Indra and Kaala (the god of death). All directions are Narayana. All sides are Narayana. Within and without are Narayana. Narayana is what has happened, what is happening and what will happen. Narayana is the only God who is without blemish, without stain, without order, without end and who cannot be described, and when Narayana is there, there is no other second. He who knows this himself becomes Lord Vishnu. So the Yajurveda Upanishads believe.

3. First say "Om" and then say "Nama". After that say "Narayana". "Om" has one letter (in Sanskrit, ). The word "Nama" has two letters (in Sanskrit, नम, nama). In this mantra in the word "Narayan a( ya)" five letters (in Sanskrit, नारायणाय, nārāyaṇaya; the last letter "ya" is added as a case ending). Together they form the eight-letter "Om Namo Narayanaya" ("Om, glory to Narayana!"; according to the rules of sandhi, the second letter "a" in the word "nama" is replaced by "o"; this can be compared to changing the spelling of the prepositions " o / ob" or "v / vo"). He who pronounces these eight letters attains a complete life without a single flaw. He will attain salvation, becoming the lord of men, and will be blessed with great wealth, a large number of cows and all other forms of wealth. This is what the Samaveda Upanishads believe.

4. This ever-blissful Brahma-purusha (universal soul) has the form of pranava (OM), which is made up of the combination of Aa, Uu and Ma. This pranava (Brahma-purusha), growing in several ways, becomes OM, and that yogi (yoga practitioner) who meditates on it attains salvation. That yogi who meditates on 'Om namo Narayanaya' attains Vaikuntha, the abode of Lord Vishnu. This Vaikuntha is none other than Hridaya-kamala (lotus-like heart), which is filled with eternal wisdom , from which emanates a streak of light like lightning. The son of Devaki is Brahman. Madhusudana (the one who killed Madhu) is Brahman. The lotus-eyed one is Brahman, and also Lord Vishnu, who is Achyuta (indestructible). That Purusha who is the cause of all beings is certainly Narayana. He is also the causeless 'OM' which is Parabrahman. So say the Atharvaveda Upanishads.

5. He who recites this in the morning destroys the sins committed by him at night. He who recites this in the evening destroys the sins committed by him during the day. He who recites this at noon, addressing the Sun, gets rid of the five great sins and also the minor sins. He also gets the holy effect of reading all the Vedas. In the end he becomes one with Lord Narayana. This is the knowledge of the Vedas.

May He protect us both (the teacher and the student), together, (by revealing knowledge).
He will protect us both (by bestowing the fruits of knowledge).
May we achieve strength together. May what we learn be inspiring.
Let us not look for faults in each other.
Om! Peace! Peace! Peace!

Thus ends the Narayana Upanishad, which belongs to the Krishnayajurveda.
