Bahvricha Upanishad
Rigveda
group of Upanishads – Shakta
In the Beginning was the One Devi. She created the Universe. (She is) known as Kamakala. (She is) known as the art of love./1/
By Her Brahma is born, Vishnu is born, Rudra is born, all the hordes of Maruts are born, the Kinnaras, the Gandharvas, the Apsaras are born, all the celestial musicians are born. The edible is born, everything is born. All energies are born, all living beings, moving and immobile, are born: those born from the egg, those born from the spawn, those born from sweat, those born from the seed, and men. /2/
She is the Supreme Shakti. She is the secret Shambhavi vidya; the vidya beginning with the syllable KA, the vidya beginning with the syllable HA, the vidya beginning with the syllable SA. Dwelling in the pronunciation; "OM OM". /3/
She penetrates the Tricity and the three bodies and sanctifies them from within and without. The Great Tripurasundari is the Consciousness of the Universe due to non-attachment to place, time and circumstances. /4/
She is the Self (Atman). Other than Her is the unreal non-Atman. She is the Consciousness of Brahman, Free from the defilement of existence and non-existence, Knowledge, the Non-dual Consciousness of Brahman, the Wave of Being, Consciousness, Bliss. Penetrating from outside and inside (everything) the Great Tripurasundari manifests herself. That which exists is the measure of the Being (Shakti). That which manifests is the measure of Consciousness (Shakti), that which is loved is Bliss (Shakti). The Great Tripurasundari is the Image of everything, "That" and "This", you, I, the whole Universe, all the gods. From Her everything comes. Verily, the One Reality – Called Lalita is the Non-dual indivisible Essence – the Supreme Brahman. /5/
By discarding the five forms (of Brahman), there is cessation of movement. The remaining one Consubstantial Reality is Mahat. /6/
It is said; "Comprehension is Brahman," or "I am Brahman," or "Brahman is I," or "You are That," or "This Atman is Brahman." "I am Brahman," or "Brahman is I." /7/
He who is I – He is I. Who is in Him – He is I. She who is Shodashi is contemplated as the fifteen-syllable Sri Vidya (She is) Mahatripura Sundari, Bala, Ambika, Bagala, Matangi, Svayamvarakalyani, Bhuvaneshvari, Chamunda, Chanda, Varahi, Tiraskarini, Rajamatangi, Sukasyamala, Laghushyamala, Ashvarudha, Prayangira, Dhumavati, Savitri, Sarasvati, Gayatri, Brahmanandakala. /8/
The imperishable Rik – the highest heaven in which all the gods reside – what will this Rik bring to those who do not know Him? Those who truly know Him sit here together. This is the Upanishad./9/
